Do I need weekly or bi-weekly lawn mowing services?
This is a question we’re asked often. Many customers think if they go to a bi-weekly schedule they will save themselves money. This isn’t necessarily the case.
In the spring or anytime there has been great growing conditions (rain every few days) then your lawn will be growing much quicker. If a lawn is experiencing good growth and we’re only cutting it bi-weekly, the lawn takes more time to mow. We must go slower for a quality cut, we need to make more trips to dump the clippings, and it’s harder on our equipment. A weekly mowing schedule (weather dependent) is usually the best solution.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are both licensed and insured and can provide these documents to you upon request.
Do I need to be home when you arrive to mow our lawn?
Typically, you don't need to be home during the service, as long as we have easy access to your yard. It's a good idea to discuss any specific instructions or concerns with us beforehand so we can make sure our mowing crews know how to navigate your property. We will always leaves gates as we find them or follow whatever instructions you provide.
What should I do to prepare my lawn for mowing services?
It's always nice when our clients are pro-active! Please clear your lawn of debris, including toys, lawn furniture, pet toys, and any obstacles before we arrive. It's nice if the gates are unlocked and clear of obstructions and that your pets are secured indoors or in a separate area.
Do you still mow our lawn if it's raining?
If it's a very light rain and for a short duration then, yes. We will still mow. If it's a torrential down pour or rain has been sustained for a few days and the ground is very wet and soggy we will usually skip that weeks mowing. We don't want to damage your property or our equipment. We will always strive to make up missed days as soon as the weather allows.
What mowing equipment will you be using on my lawn?
We understand some clients want us to use specific machinery to mow their lawn and we can accommodate these requests when they make sense. We use both ride-on/stand-on, commercial grade mowers in our fleet and we'll always use the most efficient piece of equipment for your property that will get the best results.
What do you do with the grass clippings?
Typically we bag the clippings and take them away to a green waste facility for proper composting. We are happy to leave the clippings on your lawn or dump them in a designated compost area on your property if you let us know ahead of time.
How many crew members will be present when you mow our lawn?
This can vary depending on several factors. Generally our mowing crews operate with 1 to 3 employees. The size of your property and how many properties we have on the schedule that day can dictate how many crew members will be working on your property.
